Founded in May 1988 by Canon (Japan) and Peking
University, PeCan Information Technogoly Co. Ltd. and gained some
advances during the years of China’s swift development.
With Canon’s intention
to further expand the market, both sides agreed, after friendly
negotiations, to conduct equity change on the company. On April
29th 2004, the company became a foreign-owned enterprise with its
total investment from Canon (China) Co. Ltd. and was renamed as
Canon Information Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd.
